We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities- Independently perform radiographic examinations, exercising good judgment to obtain necessary views for accurate diagnoses.
- Utilize proper positioning techniques to ensure optimal image quality.
- Apply appropriate x-ray technique factors to produce radiographs of the correct density, detail, and contrast.
- Perform equipment and departmental quality control procedures as needed.
- Document and communicate patient information, including history, signs and symptoms, and technique factors.
- Provide patient care, including escorting and assisting patients, reviewing medical history, and explaining procedures.
- Practice radiation protection principles to prevent unnecessary exposure to patients and staff.
- Maintain equipment and handle personal protective equipment properly.
- Enter patient data and exam information into the Radiology Information System accurately and timely.
- Ability to read and communicate in English.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT Registry required.
- NJ State Licensure required.
