Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently perform radiographic examinations, exercising good judgment to obtain necessary views for accurate diagnoses.
  • Utilize proper positioning techniques to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Apply appropriate x-ray technique factors to produce radiographs of the correct density, detail, and contrast.
  • Perform equipment and departmental quality control procedures as needed.
  • Document and communicate patient information, including history, signs and symptoms, and technique factors.
  • Provide patient care, including escorting and assisting patients, reviewing medical history, and explaining procedures.
  • Practice radiation protection principles to prevent unnecessary exposure to patients and staff.
  • Maintain equipment and handle personal protective equipment properly.
  • Enter patient data and exam information into the Radiology Information System accurately and timely.
Requirements
  • Ability to read and communicate in English.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT Registry required.
  • NJ State Licensure required.
