Outpatient Mental Health Therapist Job Description

At Ellie Mental Health, we're seeking a passionate and dedicated Outpatient Mental Health Therapist to join our team in Camp Hill, PA. As a key member of our clinical staff, you'll play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health care to our community.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess mental health diagnoses and develop effective treatment plans, ensuring continuity of care for our clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation using Ellie's electronic health record system.
  • Conduct a minimum of 15-20 client sessions per week, working collaboratively with your Clinic Director and the Ellie team to identify mental health needs and trends.
  • Develop creative interventions to help clients navigate their personal stories and achieve their goals, leveraging your expertise in various treatment modalities.
  • Stay informed about community resources, such as case managers, schools, and medical providers, to ensure seamless referrals and support for our clients.
  • Participate in clinical staff meetings, trainings, supervision, and community involvement/engagement to stay connected with our team and the broader mental health community.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • A master's degree in mental/behavioral health sciences or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Full clinical licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) or associate licensure (LAPC, LSW, LAMFT) is preferred, but we also consider enthusiastic clinicians with at least 3 years of clinical experience and a commitment to obtaining licensure.
  • Experience completing intake assessments, treatment plans, and clinical progress notes, with a focus on efficient documentation and effective communication.
  • Ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients, ensuring a safe and supportive therapeutic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage your schedule effectively and complete required documentation within expected timeframes.
  • Familiarity with various treatment modalities and experience working with diverse populations (all ages and backgrounds).
  • General knowledge of electronic health records (Valant is a plus) and comfort working with other web-based and software platforms.
