We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at VCU Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and verify all drug-related orders to ensure proper dosage, route, and administration schedule.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and residents to ensure the preparation and dispensing of medications.
- Resolve drug therapy problems and clarify problematic drug orders.
- Counsel patients on the safe and proper use of their medications.
- Collaborate with other healthcare practitioners to achieve desired medication-related outcomes.
- Current licensure with the Virginia State Board of Pharmacy required.
- Minimum of one year of pharmacy practice experience in a similar setting or residency training preferred.
- Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited academic program required.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent and intense customer interactions. The successful candidate must be able to adapt to frequent change and have strong problem-solving skills.
