About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will play a critical role in providing support to our anesthesia providers and other members of the interprofessional healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with anesthesia-related procedures, troubleshooting of anesthesia-related equipment, and set up, operation, and initiation of patient monitoring in all anesthetizing locations.
  • Ensure that assigned locations and items are ready, available, and in good working condition at all times.
  • Collaborate with all members of the interprofessional healthcare team by actively communicating and reporting pertinent patient care information and data in a comprehensive manner.
  • Perform anesthesia support activities in all monitoring and anesthesia locations, including operating rooms, catheterization laboratories, intensive care units, and other patient care areas where anesthesia is performed.
  • Clean and disinfect equipment and work areas between patients, following infection control standards and department procedures.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • One year of hospital experience if not certified; no experience if certified through the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists & Technicians (ASATT).
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) OR LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS - PREFERRED ASATT - Certified Anesthesia Tech.
