Job Summary:

As a Radiology Technologist at Oklahoma Heart Hospital, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services. Under the direct supervision of the Radiology Team Leader and physician reading the exam, you will perform routine radiographic procedures utilizing all standards for quality and radiation protection.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized care, recognizing the worth and dignity of each patient.
  • Perform technical procedures under supervision while using independent judgment.
  • Handle confidential information regarding patient records.

Requirements:

  • Two year AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology, AS or BS degree.
  • Current ARRT and Current BLS certification.
  • Six (6) months experience is preferred.

Working Knowledge:

You will be proficient in all radiology procedures and other tasks needed within the radiology department. You will be able to operate all of the radiology equipment and the PACS System in a safe and appropriate manner. You will be capable of performing the necessary functions on OHH's computer system.

Essential Technical/Motor Skills:

  • You will be able to manipulate the patient's position and the radiology equipment to perform high quality images.
  • You will be able to send high quality images from the radiology equipment to the PACS System and complete the exams in the Cerner Computer System.
