About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled RN/Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare. As a key member of our Behavioral Health Center, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume direct and indirect responsibility for the patient's care environment, ensuring a safe, secure, and clean environment.
  • Provide care through collaboration with team members and the autonomous application of the nursing process.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and role modeling for other members of the healthcare team.
  • Coordinate and delegate care, ensuring that responsibilities are met and patient needs are addressed.
  • Ensure that care provided displays respect for the patient's rights, dignity, values, confidentiality, and expressed needs.
  • Adapt to changing situations, using evidence-based practice and information technologies to provide comfort, relieve pain, and alleviate anxiety.
  • Practice under the Department of Nursing and within the scope of the Florida Nurse Practice Act.
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and requirements, and actively support a commitment to the mission and vision of TMH, consistently displaying behaviors in harmony with the ICARE values.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Current licensed in the State of Florida to practice professional nursing (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an accredited instructor from the American Heart Association (AHA) and/or other specialized life support requirements designated by work area.
