Job Summary

Geisinger Health System is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a call center environment. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care through innovative, efficient, and high-quality pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care and support through effective communication and message retrieval.
  • Use the pharmacy computer system to facilitate patient care and manage medication inventory.
  • Participate in patient care activities that do not require the expertise of a pharmacist.
  • Prepare and label medications appropriately for distribution.
  • Retrieve, review, and perform inventory management for medications and supplies in the pharmacy.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date pharmacy records.
  • Perform housekeeping duties in the pharmacy in compliance with hospital and accreditation policies.
  • Participate in the onboarding and training of new pharmacy personnel.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • Certification(s) and License(s): Certified Pharmacy Technician within 2 years - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB or NHA)
