Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Youth Program Specialist. This role will be responsible for coordinating and supporting youth programs across the division, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders.

  • Coordinate program logistics and communications with corps, service centers, and territorial headquarters.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners, including officers, envoys, and service extension directors.
  • Collaborate with the Divisional Corps Cadet Counselor to provide direction and support to corps cadets.
  • Assist in planning and executing divisional youth events, including retreats and rallies.
  • Coordinate summer camp planning, staff hiring, and program development.
  • Manage departmental records, reports, and workflow improvements.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and support to corps, troops, and Sunday school programs.
  • Develop and implement youth leader training and networking initiatives.
  • Coordinate young adult fellowships and social events.
  • Plan and execute divisional youth retreats and rallies.
  • Develop promotional materials and graphic arts for youth events.
  • Manage summer camp programming, staff hiring, and registration.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Christian education or related field; or equivalent experience in Salvation Army youth programs.
  • Minimum three years' experience in Salvation Army youth programs, with leadership and supervision responsibilities.
  • Ability to teach and train leaders, work independently, and make scheduling assignments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word, and Lotus Notes.
  • Experience with Media Shout and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
