Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of the Clinical Services Correctional Health Administrator 11, CF (CHSA 11, CF), the Registered Dietitian, CF (RD, CF) plans, organizes, and implements dietary activities and provides medical nutritional therapy in the Correctional Treatment Center (CTC); General Acute Care Hospital (GAHC), Hospice, and Dialysis units. As a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team (IDTT), the Registered Dietitian, CF works collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized nutrition plans for inmates. The Registered Dietitian, CF maintains order and supervises inmates, ensuring a safe and healthy environment. Additionally, the Registered Dietitian, CF protects and maintains the safety of persons and property and performs other related work.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and implement dietary activities and provide medical nutritional therapy in the Correctional Treatment Center (CTC); General Acute Care Hospital (GAHC), Hospice, and Dialysis units.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized nutrition plans for inmates.
  • Maintain order and supervise inmates, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
  • Protect and maintain the safety of persons and property.
  • Perform other related work as assigned.
Requirements
  • Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Applicants with proof of eligibility to apply for registration will be admitted to the examination but must become registered to be eligible for appointment.

  • The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
  • The position(s) require(s) Medical Clearance prior to being hired.
