Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in the CT Department. As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic CT and radiologic quality imaging under the direction of a physician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all types of imaging procedures and operate all equipment safely and properly, including imaging equipment, injectors, and monitors.
  • Review images of all exams, repeating as necessary to provide radiation protection in accordance with safety standards for best possible results.
  • Communicate with patients by addressing them by name, introducing yourself, explaining the exam in client terms, and keeping them informed of exam progress.
  • Ensure appropriate exams are ordered and images are delivered to the correct patient folder in PACS.
  • Document LMP, fluoro time, number of images, appropriate history, and any adverse reaction to contrast media or change in patient's condition.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by reviewing patient charts/scripts to verify pertinent information, assess patient needs, medical history, and provide patient education.
  • Attend department meetings or other mandatory meetings, assist with education and training of new employees, students, and other ancillary personnel with a positive attitude.
  • Ensure coordination of daily work duties with the team and coordinate timing of exams.
  • Practice accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the immediate work area.
Requirements
  • Technical School Diploma or equivalent and RT(CT) Certified
  • 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist and 1 year experience as a CT technologist
  • Ability to provide proper patient care essential to radiologic procedures
  • Knowledge and skills to perform all imaging exams on patients of all ages, adapting to various protocols
  • Proficient use of advanced software for CT scanning and post-procedure processing applications
  • Strong aptitude for CT technology
  • Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and upbeat demeanor
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support
