Overview:
Blue Point Healthcare Center is actively seeking experienced RN Nursing Supervisors to oversee nursing operations and ensure high-quality care for residents.
Role Purpose:
The RN Nursing Supervisor is responsible for delegating, supervising, and delivering personal nursing care while leading the nursing staff to uphold care standards and provide exceptional resident care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure adequate nursing staffing levels to maintain quality resident care.
2. Assist in the orientation and continuous training of new nursing staff.
3. Develop and communicate shift assignments while monitoring staff performance to ensure compliance with nursing standards.
4. Facilitate communication with ancillary departments regarding resident conditions and needs during shift changes.
5. Ensure adherence to established departmental policies and procedures by all nursing staff.
6. Keep the Director of Nursing informed of any staff, resident, or family concerns and assist in addressing these issues.
7. Review reports from previous shifts and ensure appropriate follow-up on resident care matters.
8. Participate in the performance evaluation process for nursing staff.
9. Maintain accurate census reports and documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
10. Investigate resident and family complaints and incidents to ensure quality care.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in the relevant state.
- Nursing degree from an accredited institution and graduation from an approved RN program.
- Previous experience in long-term care settings.
- Prior supervisory or management experience is essential.
