Job Summary

This is a challenging role for an experienced land survey crew chief to lead a team of professionals in collecting and processing geospatial data.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise to internal and external clients, including construction staking, boundary, ALTA, and topographic surveying.
  • Collect and transfer data using GPS, total stations, and data collectors, running a crew of two.
  • Travel extensively with paid-travel opportunities at the top of the national scale, with a heavy workload of 3 weeks on the road followed by a week at home.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with at least 3 years of surveying experience and 1+ year as a crew chief.
  • Must be able to operate robotic total stations, GPS in static and RTK modes, and possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
  • Bonus points for experience in boundary and topographic data collection, along with basic computer skills and problem-solving abilities.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $90,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and qualifications. The comprehensive benefits package includes paid travel opportunities and per diem at the top of the national scale.
