Job Title: MRI Technologist I

Join Inland Imaging as an MRI Technologist I and contribute to delivering exceptional patient care and high-quality imaging services.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist I to join our team. As an MRI Technologist I, you will be responsible for performing MRI studies that meet or exceed the standards set by the interpreting radiologist(s). You will follow established protocols for individual MRI examinations, prepare equipment and room for exams, and ensure proper coil availability. Additionally, you will interview and assess patients for MRI exams, obtain procedure consent, and review patient preparation checklists prior to procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform MRI studies that meet or exceed the standards set by the interpreting radiologist(s)
  • Follow established protocols for individual MRI examinations
  • Prepare equipment and room for exams
  • Ensure proper coil availability
  • Interview and assess patients for MRI exams
  • Obtain procedure consent
  • Review patient preparation checklists prior to procedures
  • Perform parenteral procedures, such as contrast injections and IV starts/removals
  • Physically assist patients on or off the MRI table
  • Communicate effectively with patients during exams to ensure comfort and minimize movement
  • Complete all exam paperwork
  • Build patient exam work lists
  • Change exam codes in Medicalis system as appropriate
  • Add charges for medications and contrast as necessary
  • Add presentation states into Intellispace for radiologist review
  • Communicate effectively with Team Leader and Coordinator regarding equipment, protocol, or patient issues
  • Assist in patient transportation as needed
Requirements:
  • AA Degree - required
  • Accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or equivalent on-the-job experience required to pass the ARRT (R)
  • One year as a practicing MRI Technologist required
  • Anatomy and medical terminology preferred
  • Medical office experience preferred
  • Understanding of MRI procedures to be read by radiologist preferred
Certifications and Licenses:
  • Must maintain current ARRT (R), (MR)
  • Current CPR/BLS required
  • Must maintain current Washington State Certified Radiologic Technologist License
Computer Skills:
  • Experience with Outlook, Workday, Medicalis, Intellispace, EPIC, and Web Portals highly desired
Background Check:

Must be able to pass a background check required by RCW 43.43 to work with children under the age of 16, developmentally disabled persons, or vulnerable adults.

Drug Test:

Eligible employees must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test.
