Optician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Optician to join our team at Sam's Club. As an Optician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members, assisting with purchasing decisions, and promoting our products and services.

• Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, and assisting with purchasing decisions.
• Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking merchandise, setting up displays, and organizing product displays.
• Maintain the sales floor in the Optical area by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, and arranging merchandise.
• Receive and stock merchandise in the Optical area, and organize and maintain the area by following company procedures.
• Operate hardware such as cash registers or related equipment, process member purchases, and assist with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
• Sell Optical products and services by assisting members with purchasing decisions, measuring, adjusting, and repairing frames and lenses, and completing eyewear/contact lens orders.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a retail or optical environment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register

At Sam's Club, we offer a competitive hourly wage range of $22.00 to $30.00, with additional compensation in the form of premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. We also offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
