Bridge Inspection Team Lead

Overview
TranSystems is seeking a highly skilled Bridge Inspection Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading site inspections of existing bridges to determine conditions and performing site inspections of bridge construction projects to evaluate conformance with contract plans and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers and technicians to perform site inspections of existing bridges and bridge construction projects.
- Prepare and review inspection reports, load ratings, and other technical documents.
- Coordinate multiple inspections on multiple sites as part of an overall program.
- Prepare and review reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and designs for bridge rehabilitation or design projects.
- Receive instructions from senior project managers and provide technical guidance on unusual or complex problems.
- Be responsible for accuracy of engineering inspections and design, quality presentation, thoroughness, and follow-through.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of NHI Course Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges and current on NHI Course 130053A Bridge Inspection Refresher Training (if applicable).
- Successful completion of NHI Course Fracture Critical Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges.

The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, construction and field assignments can be severe.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
