Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Medical Assistant/Certified Limited Scope X-ray Technologist to join our team at Denver Health. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide high-quality patient care and support in our diagnostic imaging department.

Essential Functions:
  • Perform routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned clinic, including completing limited diagnostics x-rays.
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and protect patients, self, and other staff from radiation hazards.
  • Position patients and take X-rays of specific parts of the patients' body as requested by the physician.
  • Accurately and efficiently take vital signs and basic historical patient data, identifying abnormal patient findings and communicating patient concerns or significant changes in patient's health status to provider or RN.
  • Assist provider in setting up for procedures, including aseptic and sterile techniques, and provide safe administration of medications and immunizations.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, assist with examinations, cast or splint applications, and minor procedures as directed by provider.
Requirements:
  • Post Graduate Diploma or Certificate Program Graduate from an accredited program in Medical Assisting.
  • Completion of American Registry of Radiologic Technician (ARRT) recognized Limited Scope X-ray Operator training program.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association certification.
  • LSO-Limited Scope Operator - CDPHE - Colorado Department of Public Safety certification.
