Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at HealthPro Heritage, LLC. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct resident care activities under the clinical supervision of our Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality physical therapy treatments to residents according to treatment plans developed by our Physical Therapist.
  • Assist the Physical Therapist with tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures.
  • Observe, record, and report to the therapist the conditions, reactions, and responses related to assigned duties.
  • Maintain accurate daily records of treatments and document progress notes on residents as directed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Assist with admission screening and consultation with family members, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the care of the physical therapy department and equipment.
  • Participate in in-service programs and other meetings as assigned by the Physical Therapist.
  • Engage in ongoing education and training to maintain clinical currency.
  • Adhere to Heritage Healthcare's regulatory and professional standards and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current license or eligibility for licensure under state statutes.
  • Experience in a setting serving the same age/type of resident population served by our facility.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including neat handwriting.
  • Ability to understand and follow the directions of the Physical Therapist and facility policies.
