Banquet Houseperson

The Banquet Houseperson is a key member of our events team, responsible for ensuring the smooth setup, maintenance, and breakdown of event spaces for banquets, conferences, and special events. This role requires attention to detail, physical labor, and collaboration with other staff members to deliver exceptional service to guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and maintain event spaces, including tables, chairs, staging, and audiovisual equipment.
• Coordinate with event planners and staff to ensure seamless execution of events.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in event spaces.
• Assist with breakdown and cleanup of event spaces after events.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient execution of events.

Requirements:

• Warm and caring personality with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team with minimum supervision.
• Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcoming.
• Knowledge of various room set-ups and standard equipment involved.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling and cleaning techniques.
• Ability to stand, stoop, and bend repetitively.
• Must be ServeSafe and TIPS/RBS certified.
• Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
