- Quality Care and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all nutrition services meet the highest standards of quality and regulatory requirements, maintaining a safe and efficient use of resources.
- Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate with healthcare teams, patients, and families through conferences, individual consultations, and committee participation, utilizing telephone, written, and electronic communication.
- Adherence to Hospital Policy and Procedures: Comply with specific hospital policies and procedures, adhering to established guidelines and protocols.
- Education and Certification: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, with a minimum of one year of work experience as a dietitian preferred. Registration with the American Dietetic Association or completion of educational requirements for dietetic registry exam is required.
- Licensure and Certification: Current license with the Kentucky Board of Licensure and Certification for Dietitians and Nutritionists is mandatory.
