**Job Summary**

The Logistics Coordinator coordinates and executes timely tendering of freight while managing capacities and on-time pick up/delivery with a focus on revenue and expense. This position requires development and maintenance of strong working relationships with manufacturers, buyers, carriers, and dispatchers, as well as internal teams.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Manage carrier resources to pick up and deliver freight in the most cost-effective manner while maintaining service expectations.
  • Manage execution of deliveries and communications to internal/external partners through a variety of mediums, including the Transportation Management System (TMS) and Yard Management Systems (YMS).
  • Facilitate communication and build strong working relationships among the operations, carriers, customer service, procurement, manufacturers, and other ES3 team members.
  • Facilitate carrier conversations to set expectations on service, capacity, communication, and rates.
  • Complete manufacturer and lane analysis, with an understanding of the revenue and expense components, providing recommendations for improvement; some negotiation and execution of changes will occur.
  • Maintain data integrity of facilities, update rating and routing lanes, and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Prepare operational summaries, spreadsheets, and system-generated reports in order to manage Transportation KPIs.

**Requirements**

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Experience with transportation management systems and yard management systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
