Position Summary:
We are currently offering a rewarding career opportunity for a Field Service Technician. Reporting to the Service & Plant Manager, your primary responsibilities will include responding to maintenance requests, providing operational training, and installing equipment and systems. As a Field Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and will collaborate closely with our engineering, sales, and marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct service calls and equipment commissioning at client locations.
- Deliver training sessions on Deville product lines in both classroom and hands-on settings.
- Manage customer service inquiries and provide technical support.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on service activities.
- Evaluate client requirements for spare parts and coordinate with internal teams.
- Perform mechanical tasks such as bearing replacements and motor changes.
- Troubleshoot issues related to electrical systems, electromechanics, pneumatics, PLCs, and programming.
- Execute welding and polishing tasks as necessary.
Success Metrics:
Within 6 Months:
- Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge and training capabilities.
- Independently perform service calls and equipment commissioning with minimal assistance.
Within 12 Months:
- Maintain the success factors established in the first 6 months.
- Exhibit autonomy in the refurbishment of Deville equipment.
- Effectively manage service calls, commissioning, troubleshooting, and equipment diagnostics at client sites.

Qualifications and Experience:
- 2 to 5 years of experience in troubleshooting electrical, electromechanical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, with knowledge of PLCs.
- Experience in customer service roles.
- Proficient in Windows XP and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to create clear and concise reports and correspondence suitable for client interaction.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Spanish and/or French is a plus.
- Strong public speaking skills for training sessions.
- Experience with food processing equipment is advantageous.
- Relevant certifications in electrical, automation, mechanical, or welding fabrication are beneficial.
