Job Overview:

CAMs Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Plant Technician to efficiently operate and maintain facility equipment ensuring optimal production while minimizing costs. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations and maintenance tasks, working closely with plant management to meet operational goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Qualify and perform Control Room Operator duties
  • Stand single operator shifts
  • Understand and adhere to all plant safety guidelines and procedures
  • Maintain an injury-free work environment
  • Perform plant mechanical, electrical, and instrument maintenance as assigned within individual's ability
  • Conduct regular rounds of plant and equipment, correcting operational problems when practical and documenting issues found in MP-2
  • Maintain accurate logs and other records of plant operation as legal documents
  • Participate in plant training and qualification program, including lesson planning, conducting group training, providing qualification checkouts up to phase II, safety, and administrative programs
  • Provide leadership and job coordination for all plant projects executed during on-shift hours, including contractor briefings, lockout control, confined space entry, hot work, and safe work permitting

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong aptitude in math and mechanical/electrical ability
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Associates in Science Degree or equivalent required (e.g., US Nuclear Power Program, Industrial Trade Program/School, 5 years industry experience)
  • Three to five years' experience in power generation highly desired

Salary: $35.00 - $37.00 per hour

Working Hours: Monday through Friday (8-hour shift) with required 12-hour shift rotating with OT based on operational needs
