About the Job
We are seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Animal Dermatology Clinic - Bradenton. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced veterinarians and support staff to deliver exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, and other medical procedures as needed
- Prepare and restrain animals for procedures, as well as monitor anesthesia
- Assist in surgery, suture, and wound care
- Communicate effectively with clients and their pets
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to infection control protocols
Requirements
- College or college-equivalent education as required in becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician
- Previous experience in a veterinary facility or related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
