Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments and equipment.
  • Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and supplies for procedures, ensuring that all necessary items are available and in good working order.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the surgical team.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital setting.
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Knowledge of aseptic technique, isolation precautions, and radiation safety.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a teaching hospital or trauma center.
  • Knowledge of endoscopic procedures and general surgery techniques.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts.
