Key Responsibilities
  • Uphold the organization's core principles, ensuring integrity and transparency in all actions.
  • Assist the Housekeeping Manager in executing the key control protocol for the department.
  • Inspect all guest rooms, including furnishings, appliances, and supplies, to maintain luxury hotel standards.
  • Conduct daily briefings with the housekeeping staff to address opportunities and special requests.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and grooming that aligns with the hotel’s theme.
  • Train staff on the use of company communication devices, ensuring proper etiquette is followed.
  • Adapt work schedules to meet operational demands, which may include extended hours and holiday shifts.
  • Ensure that public areas, guest corridors, and back-of-house spaces are consistently clean and organized.
  • Keep a detailed inventory of housekeeping supplies for timely ordering.
  • Protect guest privacy and security by adhering to hotel protocols.
  • Inspire, mentor, and manage the housekeeping team in accordance with progressive discipline practices.
  • Oversee maintenance requests and submit them to the appropriate department as per established procedures.
  • Address all guest inquiries, concerns, and incidents with attentiveness and professionalism, reporting significant issues to the Director of Operations.
  • Foster a collaborative working relationship with all team members, management, and stakeholders.
  • Empower team members to enhance the guest experience.
  • Implement and monitor 'Lost and Found' procedures in line with hotel standards.
  • Respond to guest needs and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
  • Develop staff schedules based on business forecasts and budgetary guidelines.
  • Welcome guests in public areas with a friendly demeanor.
  • Manage and fulfill guest laundry requests efficiently.
  • Maintain strong communication with the Front Office to address operational matters.
  • Incorporate guest satisfaction metrics into departmental meetings, focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in hospitality or hotel management is preferred.
  • Outstanding customer service abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capability to present information effectively to individuals or groups.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Comfortable using technology in daily operations.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods.
