Collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team focused on enhancing instrumentation and control systems within nuclear power facilities. These initiatives represent a cohesive blend of electrical and mechanical engineering principles alongside control theory. Engage with advanced electronic process sensors, digital control systems, user-friendly touchscreen interfaces, and various mechanical components such as pumps, valves, heat exchangers, steam turbines, and reactors to optimize the operational efficiency of nuclear power stations. Develop detailed specifications for the acquisition of instrumentation and control systems, as well as perform engineering calculations related to plant enhancements and modifications. Through mentorship, structured technical training sessions, and practical experience, you will broaden your knowledge and competencies in your engineering field. You will also have opportunities to visit client and vendor facilities for design evaluations and to conduct site visits for project coordination and verification of designs.Required Qualifications

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, with a solid academic foundation and coursework in both analog and digital control systems is essential. A minimum of three years of experience in design engineering related to power plant control systems is required. Coursework in mechatronics is preferred but not mandatory.
