Love without Violence, Inc. is seeking dedicated individuals to contribute to our Board of Directors. As a board member, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our nonprofit organization, which is dedicated to raising awareness about domestic violence, supporting survivors, and promoting healthy relationships in our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide oversight and guidance on the organization's mission, strategy, and financial health.
  • Participate in board meetings, strategic planning sessions, and committee assignments.
  • Offer leadership, advice, and expertise to ensure the sustainability and growth of the organization.
  • Help identify and cultivate partnerships, donors, and resources to support the organization's initiatives.
  • Act as an ambassador for Love without Violence, Inc., promoting awareness and the organization's mission in the community.
  • Assist in the development and evaluation of programs and services.
  • Contribute to fundraising efforts, including attending events and supporting grant initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards and practices.
Qualifications:
  • A commitment to domestic violence awareness and survivor support.
  • Prior board experience or a background in nonprofit leadership, finance, legal, marketing, fundraising, or social services is a plus.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to commit to a significant time commitment.
  • Experience with fundraising, donor relations, or grant writing is an asset but not required.
  • A strong network in the community and the ability to connect the organization with new opportunities and resources.
