Certified Nursing Assistant

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in the healthcare team, working under the direction of a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and contribute to achieving patient and family outcomes. As a member of the direct care team, the CNA is responsible for collecting and recording patient information, completing routine and delegated direct patient care activities, and communicating with the Registered Nurse to prioritize workload.
Job QualificationsEducation: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Experience: Experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred.
Certifications/Licenses: A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification awarded by the State of Wisconsin is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire is also required.
