Head Start Associate Teacher

The Center for Human Services is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Head Start Associate Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our early childhood education program, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and supportive learning environment for young children.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework (ELOF) and Performance Standards.
- Provide responsive care giving practices to ensure the daily needs of children are met.
- Implement small and large group experiences, free play, music and movement, large and small motor activities, skill development, routine care, family style meals, and effective transitions between activities.
- Ensure ratios are always met and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
- Collaborate with families to develop and implement individual school readiness and group lesson plans that reflect parent input and cultural relevance.
- Communicate effectively with parents through regular updates, conferences, and home visits.
- Assist families in identifying and accessing community resources to support self-sufficiency.
- Enter data and documentation into Child Plus and Desired Results Development Profile (DRDP) assessments.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of children's progress and development.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least one of the following: completion of the Preschool CDA credential or comparable credential, or a degree from an accredited college in a directly related field.
- Experience working with young children and families, preferably in an early childhood education setting.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software and systems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Infant Toddler CPR, First Aid, and AED certification.
- Valid Class E driver's license and proof of personal vehicle insurance.
- Medical exam and TB assessment prior to hire and every 5 years.
- Background screening, including fingerprinting, prior to hire and every 5 years.
- Knowledge of UKG platform, Child Plus, Creative Curriculum, DRDP, and Head Start Performance Standards.
