Position Overview

The Mechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for executing moderately complex assembly tasks for our Ultramax product line under direct supervision.

Key Responsibilities

These responsibilities are designed to provide a general overview of the role and are not exhaustive.

  • Assemble and fine-tune various Ultramax products from inception to completion.
  • Conduct tests on finished units and assess components for quality assurance.
  • Prepare products for distribution, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
  • Operate a spot welding machine as required.
  • Execute tasks as directed by supervisors.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate with external contacts to share relevant work information.
  • Uphold a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies and safety procedures.
  • Undertake additional tasks as needed.

Required Experience and Skills

  • 1-2 years of assembly experience; a high school diploma or equivalent is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding technical documents such as blueprints and work instructions.
  • Capable of documenting basic information accurately.
  • Basic arithmetic skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with air tools, power tools, and hand tools is necessary.
  • Manual dexterity is required for assembly tasks.
  • Ability to follow a sequence of steps to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Problem-solving skills, particularly in familiar situations.
