**Our Ideal Candidate:**

We are looking for a highly skilled Materials Coordinator with experience in sheet metal fabrication or machining. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing fundamentals and geometric dimensioning & tolerances.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Evaluate customer drawings, samples, specifications, notes, and RFQs.
  • Determine raw materials type and quantity required for production.
  • Price materials using internal records when available, and sourcing/contacting new & existing vendors and sub-contractors.
  • Create Bills of Materials in database.
  • Interact with clients' buyers and engineers via email and phone to clarify material requirements.
  • Retrieve drawing files from internal server, Email, or clients' ftp site.
  • Data entry of customer orders, creation of digital records for new materials and customer parts.
  • Creating production packets for manufacturing including drawings, material requirements, and work instructions.

**Requirements:**

  • 3+ years working with bills of materials, or estimating with 1+ year in sheet metal fabrication or machining.
  • Understanding of manufacturing fundamentals, and geometric dimensioning & tolerances.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Windows including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, fractions, decimals.
  • Ability to use calipers, tape measures, other measuring tools.
  • Ability to communicate with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional capacity.
  • Ability to read/interpret drawings including the ability to view and understand drawings and 3D models in Solid Works.
