Medical Screener

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Screener to join our team at CSL Plasma. As a Medical Screener, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors by conducting thorough health screenings and registration procedures.

• Conduct health screenings and registration procedures for donors, including assessing self-administered health history and performing health screening tests such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, and temperature.
• Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process, including answering basic medical questions and referring donors to medical staff when necessary.
• Educate new donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma, including explaining the screening process and health screening tests.
• Register applicants and transfer donors based on completion of appropriate training and operational needs of the center.
• Answer telephone calls and respond to donor inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain alertness and awareness to any reaction by a donor during or after the pheresis process and notify appropriate staff.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Understand and comply with all Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in a medical or health provider environment.
• Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions.
• Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.
• Must be able to see and speak with customers and observe equipment operation.
