Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced nursing professional to join our team as an Instructor or Assistant Professor of Nursing at Louisiana State University. This is a full-time faculty position that will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of nursing education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach didactic and clinical courses to nursing students, developing and implementing curriculum to meet program and course learning outcomes.
  • Evaluate student performance in lecture and clinical courses, providing feedback and guidance to support student success.
  • Develop and implement assessments to measure student learning outcomes, ensuring the program meets accreditation standards.
  • Participate in program and divisional committees, contributing to the development of academic policies and procedures.
  • Select textbooks, audiovisuals, and software to support curriculum design and program needs.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • At least 2 years of nursing practice experience as a registered nurse in a clinical setting or medical-surgical nursing practice experience.
  • Ability to bend, lift, assist with, and provide competent bedside patient care in an acute care facility.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • At least 3 years of nursing practice experience as a registered nurse in a clinical setting or medical-surgical nursing practice experience.
