This role plays a crucial part in diagnosing conditions related to soft tissues, including tumors and neurological disorders.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute intricate procedures involving high-field strength magnets and associated machinery to generate specialized radiographic images of designated body areas.
- Evaluate and analyze patient medical histories to establish suitable imaging parameters for optimal accuracy.
- Operate and uphold cutting-edge MRI technology, ensuring compliance with safety standards and performing routine maintenance checks to guarantee reliable imaging outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals during MRI examinations, offering immediate imaging assistance to secure precise positioning and superior image quality.
- Document and record all MRI scans and related data in the Computerized Health Information system and Picture Archiving and Communication System, confirming charges and resolving discrepancies to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of a Radiology, Imaging, or related educational program.
Experience:
Licensure/Certification: Required: ARRT (MR), MRI Technologist ARMRIT (MR), or equivalent; BLS (CPR) certification from the American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
