Position Overview

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist is responsible for conducting MRI scans utilizing advanced magnetic fields and radio frequencies to capture detailed images of the internal structures of patients' bodies. This role plays a crucial part in diagnosing conditions related to soft tissues, including tumors and neurological disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Execute intricate procedures involving high-field strength magnets and associated machinery to generate specialized radiographic images of designated body areas.
  2. Evaluate and analyze patient medical histories to establish suitable imaging parameters for optimal accuracy.
  3. Operate and uphold cutting-edge MRI technology, ensuring compliance with safety standards and performing routine maintenance checks to guarantee reliable imaging outcomes.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare professionals during MRI examinations, offering immediate imaging assistance to secure precise positioning and superior image quality.
  5. Document and record all MRI scans and related data in the Computerized Health Information system and Picture Archiving and Communication System, confirming charges and resolving discrepancies to maintain workflow efficiency.
  6. Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of a Radiology, Imaging, or related educational program.

Experience:
Licensure/Certification: Required: ARRT (MR), MRI Technologist ARMRIT (MR), or equivalent; BLS (CPR) certification from the American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
