We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team, operating within the Healthcare Systems and Services sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting mammography examinations on patients to aid in breast cancer detection while ensuring outstanding patient care.
  • Adhering to hospital and departmental policies and regulations.
  • Assessing images for quality and compliance with facility standards.
  • Maintaining equipment in line with Infection Control protocols and executing quality control procedures as necessary.
  • Following quality assurance protocols and safeguarding patient confidentiality/HIPAA.
  • Performing screening and diagnostic mammography imaging procedures in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Adjusting equipment and guiding patients to minimize imaging artifacts.
  • Evaluating imaging results for accuracy in positioning and technical specifications.
  • Communicating preliminary findings to physicians as per departmental guidelines.
  • Distributing completed test results to physicians and service providers following departmental protocols.
  • Maintaining patient records, entering diagnostic and billing codes, and updating patient information systems.
  • Ensuring proper cleaning and sterilization of equipment and workspaces.
  • Identifying equipment malfunctions and coordinating repairs as needed.
  • Instructing patients on pretest preparations and clarifying procedures.
  • Maintaining valid Permits to Practice in all applicable states.
  • Conducting equipment quality checks and troubleshooting issues.
  • Adhering to quality assurance standards and maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Performing additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:
Required Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in mammography.

Required Licenses/Certifications:
Valid ARRT license, registered in Mammography.
Current CPR certification, as required.
Valid state license.

Ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
Demonstrated flexibility, reliability, and sound judgment.
Proactive approach to change and improvement.

In this role, the successful candidate will serve as a Mammography Technologist, performing examinations for patients of all ages to assist in diagnosing illnesses. The Mammography Technologist will communicate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and team members, functioning independently while also collaborating with nursing and ancillary staff to provide exceptional patient care.
