About the Role
The Great Plains Tribal Leaders Health Board Inc seeks an experienced Optometrist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care services to our community. Your expertise will enable us to provide comprehensive eye health services, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care.

We offer a dynamic work environment, a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, and a range of benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a Doctor of Optometry (OD) Degree, two years of clinical experience, and a permanent, full, and unrestricted Optometry license in any U.S. State or Territory. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with staff members, are also essential. Familiarity with American Indian populations and an understanding of traditional, cultural, and spiritual practices are desirable but not necessary.

In this role, you will be responsible for examining, diagnosing, and treating various visual system disorders in pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. You will provide optometry services, including diagnostic, preventative, and therapeutic services, as well as prescribe corrective lenses, vision training, and pharmacological treatments. Accurate patient record-keeping and effective communication with healthcare professionals are also essential responsibilities.
