Laboratory Professional for General Laboratory in West Texas

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Professional to join our team at KA Recruiting Inc. in the West Texas area.
About the Job:
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing accurate and timely laboratory testing, including analyzing proficiency testing samples and completing records/documentation pertaining to patient results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform stat procedures within established turnaround time targets
- Demonstrate good judgment and independent thinking in the correlation and interpretation of patient results
- Review pending logs and result logs, resolving any outstanding workload or communicating with staff relief
- Perform quality control procedures per protocol and handle all problem and/or critical laboratory specimens/test results
Requirements:
- A 2 Year/Associate Degree is required; a 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology is preferred
- ASCP certification (or equivalent) is preferred OR the ability to obtain a license during the first 6 months of employment
