Senior Blaster

Austin Powder is seeking a highly skilled Senior Blaster to manage location assets and personnel at the customer site. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in blasting operations and be certified by the Austin Powder Company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage location assets and personnel to meet customer requirements
• Supervise personnel at the customer site/blast area
• Assist in training and development of employees
• Build and sustain rapport with the current customer base
• Coordinate handling of customer complaints and incidents

Requirements:

• 21 years old or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Austin Powder Company Blasting Certification - State Blaster's License
• Minimum 5 years certified blasting experience
• MSHA Safety and First Aid Certification

Skills and Knowledge:

• Interpersonal skills
• Product/technical knowledge including EBR and ABS
• 2D Profiling, seismograph operation, and blast site security
• Global Position System
• Monitoring and implementing compliance measures
• Knowledge of applicable regulations
• Time and priority management skills
• Basic computer skills
