Chief Golf Coach

Position Summary:
The Golf Program Director will be responsible for the comprehensive management of our golf program, encompassing everything from training sessions to the recruitment of student athletes, financial oversight to community engagement. This role includes coaching responsibilities, staff supervision, budget management, organizing fundraising activities, and ensuring adherence to athletic regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all facets of the golf program.
- Provide mentorship and training to student athletes both during practice and in their academic pursuits.
- Conduct analysis of competitors and develop strategies for competitions.
- Support team members in their academic and personal growth.
- Recruit prospective players and manage the recruitment of coaching staff.
- Administer budgetary allocations, expenses, and financial planning.
- Introduce innovative golfing techniques and equipment.
- Plan and execute camps and fundraising events.
- Engage with the local community and represent the College at various functions.
- Align with the mission and objectives of the Athletic Department and the College.
- Contribute to local organizations and events.
- Be available for flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree preferred.
- A minimum of two years of coaching experience in a higher education setting.
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent communication skills across diverse environments.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage projects efficiently.
- Proficient in using software and navigating the internet.
- Experience working with a diverse student body.
- Capable of instructing multiple subjects.
- Skilled in advising students.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proven record of integrity and leadership.
- Dedication to the athletic and academic success of students.
- Familiarity with recruitment processes.
Certifications:
- A valid driver's license is required.
*The annual salary for this position is $12,000.
