Overview

Responsibilities

The Spiritual Care Counselor will provide spiritual counseling and support to patients and families, taking into account their individual beliefs and values. This role will also involve planning and implementing pastoral services for the hospital's spiritual care program, working closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Divinity or a related field
  • At least one unit of ACPE Certified Clinical Pastoral Education
  • Minimum of one year of experience in spiritual care in a healthcare setting

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of medical-moral-ethical issues
  • A warm, friendly, and empathetic personality
  • Knowledge of the hospice concept and community resources
  • Ability to work in a team context and navigate electronic systems
