The role of the Nurse Practitioner is essential in providing quality healthcare services on a PRN basis. This position offers flexibility with two distinct coverage options:
- Travel to perform assessments at designated facilities.
- Schedule appointments within your own practice for Veterans.
Shifts can be tailored to your availability, with options for 4-hour or 8-hour workdays.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based evaluations, complemented by physical assessments such as:
- Range of motion testing
- Muscle strength testing
- Note that this role does not involve prescribing medications or providing treatment.
Successful candidates will benefit from:
- Quick credentialing and onboarding processes.
- Opportunity to obtain DMA certification (continuing medical education credits available).
- Familiarity with musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions is essential.
- Proficiency in METs testing and evaluating respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
Applicants must possess:
- A personal laptop (please note that MACs are not accepted).
- Ability to utilize a Goniometer for assessments.
