Job Title: Maintenance Line Technician

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the maintenance of all plant processes, including changes to technology and systems, business processes, and organizational structure and job roles.
  • Strive to achieve quick adoption of change and ensure efficient understanding and training in order to achieve organizational proficiency to handle new initiatives and projects.
  • Attend training on new processes and equipment, including self-study.
  • Monitor activities in area of responsibility at all times during shift.
  • Learn and apply new processes and procedures in area of responsibility, as well as train, lead, and communicate effectively with all co-workers.
  • Evaluate and continuously improve processes in area of responsibility, working to minimize changeover times.
  • Ensure that every detail and specification of each product is met.
  • Follow work direction effectively, completing/overseeing all record keeping and performing all tests as required.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory, notifying manager when running low.
  • Maintain appropriate sanitation records, keeping track of what chemicals are used and in what concentration.
  • Give Public Relations tours and act as spokesperson for the company when requested.
  • Operate and maintain all equipment in area of assigned responsibility, ensuring it is working properly and as efficiently as possible.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or required by the supervisor/customer.
  • Adhere to and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined in Employee Handbook.
  • Adhere to and comply with quality production and Food Safety.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years' experience in a Production environment is preferred, but not required.
  • Extended standing on hard surfaces.
  • Must have strong mechanical background, including thorough knowledge in areas of maintenance, plumbing, electrical, welding, heating, and refrigeration.
  • May be required to work and direct in confined spaces and work with high pressure steam.
  • Will work around noise, dust, variable temperatures, and use of production chemicals.
  • Knowledge working in Outlook, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and use of company web-based programs.
  • Regular bending, stooping, and lifting up to 60lbs.
  • Position must be able to communicate with all levels of employees, vendors, customers, and visitors.
