About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Recreation Aide to join our team in Oxnard, CA. As a Recreation Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting various recreation and human services programs and activities for children, teens, and adults.

Our ideal candidate is highly motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. You must be able to communicate effectively with participants, staff, and other stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience and develop your skills in recreation program management, youth development, and community engagement.

Job Responsibilities
  • Supervise groups of children, teens, and adults in recreation and human services programs or day camps
  • Provide direct instruction or training to program participants
  • Assist recreation staff in conducting sports, games, and events
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filling out paperwork and answering telephones
Requirements
  • Completion of the 8th grade (for Recreation Aide I) or high school diploma (for Recreation Aide II)
  • Possession of six months (for Recreation Aide I) or two years (for Recreation Aide II) of voluntary or paid recreation program experience
  • Valid class C California driver's license and First Aid/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
