Position Overview: The Division of Neonatology at Montefiore Medical Center is actively seeking a dedicated Pediatrician to enhance our esteemed division at the Jack D. Weiler Hospital. This facility is recognized as a leading academic children's hospital, providing exceptional inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services for infants, children, and adolescents.
About Montefiore Medical Center: Montefiore is a 192-bed nationally acclaimed pediatric hospital affiliated with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. We serve a diverse community across the Bronx, Westchester County, and the Hudson Valley. The Jack D. Weiler Hospital, with its 403 beds, is a designated Perinatal Regional Center featuring a 35-bed, level 4 NICU and handling approximately 4,000 deliveries annually. Our Neonatology Division comprises 12 Neonatologists, 11 advanced practitioners, and 6 Neonatal Fellows, consistently ranking among the top programs for Neonatal Care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive medical care for newborns in the Delivery Room.
- Assist in the Neonatal ICU and Newborn Nursery.
- Conduct delivery room resuscitation and stabilization.
- Evaluate newborns and coordinate complex delivery room activities.
- Engage in the education of residents and medical students.
- Participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives.
Candidate Profile: We are looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatrician who is passionate about caring for newborns and their families. Successful candidates will exhibit energy, enthusiasm, and a collaborative spirit. Exceptional clinical skills and experience in medical education are essential. The position offers a schedule of Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with no nights, no call, and no weekends.
Compensation and Benefits: The role offers a competitive salary range of $135,000 to $145,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes long-term disability, short-term disability, paid malpractice insurance, continuing medical education support, health, dental, vision insurance, and retirement plan options.
