Intensive Care Unit RN

As a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring optimal patient outcomes through comprehensive assessment and intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Assessment: Utilize advanced organizational and leadership skills to evaluate patient conditions and prioritize care needs.
2. Clinical Interventions: Implement evidence-based nursing practices for patients requiring intensive medical attention.
3. Care Planning: Develop and execute individualized care plans aimed at improving patient health outcomes.
4. Environment of Care: Maintain a safe and therapeutic setting for all patients.
Essential Duties:
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments, formulate care plans, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
- Synthesize critical information to make timely, evidence-based decisions regarding patient care.
- Administer medications safely in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred but not mandatory.
- Licensure: Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of RN experience is required; six months of experience in a Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or Emergency Department setting is preferred.
