Job Summary

The Galveston County, TX is seeking a skilled Cloud Architect to design, implement, and manage the County's cloud computing strategy. This role will play a strategic role in designing and maintaining all cloud systems, including front-end platforms, servers, storage, and management networks.

Key Responsibilities

Design a cloud strategy and manage the adoption and implementation processes
Develop and organize cloud systems, including application development, data management, and identity and access management
Work in partnership with IT Security to monitor the company's cloud platform security
Monitor cloud system performance
Work with stakeholders to inform and collect information for both the technical and business sides of the cloud infrastructure
Identify top cloud solutions to meet the County's strategic needs

Requirements

Four-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant field or equivalent work experience
Three to five years' experience designing, executing, and supporting cloud solutions
Strong knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends
Advanced experience with Microsoft Azure
Proficiency in programming and coding languages
Strong attention to detail with good communication and organizational skills
Possess business acumen to work directly with elected officials and department heads
Complete CJIS Awareness Training Level 4 every two years
