Ellington Public Schools is seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Substitute School Nurse.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a knowledgeable and personable Registered Nurse to work within a collaborative school community to ensure the safety and wellness of students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care and support to students, faculty, and staff
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment
  • Develop and implement nursing plans to meet the needs of students and staff
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff

Requirements:

  • Current RN license in the State of Connecticut
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures

Working Conditions:

Substitute nurses will be paid at the rate of $40.00/hour. There are no additional benefits. Assignments are on a per diem basis.
