Job Summary:

A Cybersecurity Specialist at Varite will serve as the security engineer of complex technology implementations in a product-centric environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable bridging the gap between legacy development or operations teams and working toward a shared culture and vision. They will work to ensure developers create the most secure systems while enhancing the privacy of all system users. The candidate should have experience with white-hat hacking and fundamental computer science concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform security audits, risk analysis, application-level vulnerability testing, and security code reviews. Develop and implement technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities. Conduct research to identify new attack vectors. Possess knowledge and experience in safeguarding sensitive data from cyber-attacks. Ensure the security of complex technology implementations in a product-centric environment. Work with legacy development or operations teams to bridge the gap and achieve a shared culture and vision. Enhance the privacy of all system users. Develop and implement technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities. Conduct research to identify new attack vectors. Possess knowledge and experience in safeguarding sensitive data from cyber-attacks.

Requirements:

This classification requires a minimum of ten (10) years of experience with developing and implementing technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities. One year experience within the last two years administering and responding to investigations within Abnormal email security console. One year experience within the last two years enforcing DKIM, SPF, and DMARC policies within an email security solution. One year experience within the last two years performing URL blocks within Zscaler. One year experience within the last two years triaging and responding to cybersecurity alerts within SecureWorks, Sohos, or CrowdStrike. One year experience within the last two years managing white/black listing email content filtering. This classification requires the possession of a bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Additional Information:

This MSP contract will be fully remote, and working hours will be Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
