Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our High Performance Facilities (HFP) business unit in our offices located in various locations across the United States.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing electrical systems for facilities for Government, Military, University, and private clients. This includes providing conceptual and detailed design and analysis for facility power distribution, site power distribution, emergency power generation, grounding and lightning protection, lighting design, telecommunications, fire alarm and mass notification, security, access control, and special systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design electrical systems for facilities
  • Provide conceptual and detailed design and analysis for facility power distribution, site power distribution, emergency power generation, grounding and lightning protection, lighting design, telecommunications, fire alarm and mass notification, security, access control, and special systems
  • Prepare supporting documentation such as calculations, reports, and specifications
  • Meet with clients to prepare and/or validate proposed scope of work
  • Prepare fee proposals for engineering design work
  • Work with other disciplines to ensure accuracy of the package, meet schedule, and budget commitments and meet expectations for attendance and punctuality
  • Manage and lead direct reports of local and remote engineering staff
Requirements:
  • Twelve (12) years of experience in facility Electrical Engineering design
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required
  • Minimum twelve (12) years of experience using REVIT/AutoCAD or other design software-based drawing generation
  • Experience using electrical calculation tools is required, including lighting and power software such as AGi32, Elum Tools, SKM Power Tools, ETAP, and EasyPower
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Excel & Word
  • Experience with technical codes such as NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEEE is required
  • Ability to travel as needed
