Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Academic Teacher to join our team at SEEDS - Access Changes Everything. As an Academic Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching subject areas to our Young Scholars, a group of academically talented and financially limited students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement curriculum guidelines for subject areas
  • Evaluate and develop ongoing curriculum to meet the needs of our Scholars
  • Teach subject areas to our Young Scholars
Requirements
  • Expert level mastery of subject area
  • Expert level written and oral skills
  • Teaching experience in a rigorous academic environment, including work with highly capable students
  • Demonstrated talent in the instruction of students with varied learning styles and levels of mastery
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in private school education
Additional Expectations
  • Review, correct and comment upon written assignments, exams and projects
  • Attend faculty meetings as scheduled
  • Prepare detailed comments about each Young Scholar via mid-session and final progress reports
  • Additional duties as assigned

We work with competitive, primarily independent, secondary schools to provide opportunities for highly motivated, academically qualified, and economically disadvantaged students.
